St. Francis de Sales is titled as “Patron of the Deaf” because of his kindness and understanding too his servant, Martin, who suffered from hearing problems. De Sales is known as one who developed “Sign language” to teach Martin about God. This card has a “Prayer for the Deaf” – and those with hearing problems imprinted on the back.
